As Sara mentioned, it’s been a crazy last week here (and the craziness isn’t about the end any time soon – that’s not the way we roll!). But before starting this crazy week, we had a very relaxing week out in the Seattle area. The excuse for going was our friend Karen’s wedding, but we went a couple days early to hang out with the rest of the Seattle-area gang.
We started out visiting our friends Kris & Jeremy and meeting their uber-cute 7-month old Siena. As usual with kids, Ella and Siena didn’t interact too much with each other at first, but by the end of the week they were sharing toys back and forth. Ella showed us at the playground just how comfortable she is on a swing – and how little she wanted her daddy to hold and help her.
We managed see our friends Justin, Kate, Tiffany and Curt as well while we were out there, and had a fantastic time at Karen and Jerry’s wedding – beautiful locations, delicious food (like that should be a surprise!), and good friends. Ella pulled through pretty well, and from the looks she was giving the flower girls, she looked like she wanted to be out there herself.
The morning after the wedding we met up again with Kris, Jeremy & Siena and spent a couple days up on Whidbey Island, in Puget Sound. The buzzword really was relaxation – even with trying to get two babies to get settled into new beds in new locations, we really were able to recharge a little bit before returning to our previously scheduled crazy lives. We’re already planning where to go on our next adventure!
Some pictures got posted to Facebook, but there are a lot more here in the Seattle Area 2009 photo album. Look for a video or two coming soon too!
