Up!

From the Ella front (in case you thought any of this blog was *not* from that front), we have lots of new signs and a few new words. “Up!” is the favorite new word, as in “pick me UP!”

She’s also saying “Yum” when she eats things she likes, she says a version of Sasha’s name (“Sasa”) and a few others that we can’t quite figure out yet.

And as for signs, here are some new ones since our last list:
–turtle
–frog
–pig
–dirty
–daddy

She’s constantly on the lookout for birds, cars and airplanes, so we see those signs a lot these days. She frequently hears those things before we do, so the sign is our reminder to slow down and listen!

We just finished our last signing class over the weekend, and we are sad–we all love her teacher and the class, but I think there are some playdates in the works.
