CSA: Weeks 26-30

Wow, it’s a been a while since we’ve given an update. We’ve had a few weeks where we didn’t do a pickup, since either we were on vacation, or Andrew’s parents were away.

But: we have gotten some good stuff over the past month+. Some of the highlights: kabocha squash, green beans, corn, “yummy snack peppers” (that’s actually what they call them), tomatillos, radishes, plums, fennel, eggplant, shallots, and nectarines.

And we’ve done some nice things with many of the things we’ve gotten: fennel and apple salad with lemon-shallot dressing, eggplant parmesan, fruit salads, lots of steamed veggies and corn on the cob.

The CSA runs through Nov. 21, so we’re looking forward to getting more squash, apples and other harvesty-type offerings. I’m hoping for some little baby pumpkins!
