Home Front Update, Day 3

Day 3 is coming to a close now, and I think all three of us here are looking forward to the weekend. I’ve been pretty good at ignoring the alarm clock so the past two mornings have been slightly more hectic than I envisioned, but we all made it to daycare and work eventually. Yesterday evening was pretty laid back with lots of book reading and rocking horse riding, followed by more book reading in bed. Today, we picked up pizza on the way over to my parent’s house to check in on the cat, turtle and frog. Ella, of course, thought were just there to play with trucks, buses and trains. She did bravely try petting Oscar the cat – but leapt in shock when Oscar meowed at her. That shock didn’t last long, as later she decided she wanted to cut her dinner short so she could go see the cat again.

Tomorrow we’re off to a local farm for pumpkins and to see some animals with friends – it looks like it should be a lot of fun, and hopefully we’ll get pix posted by tomorrow night!
