Lots of time in the car today! Ella let me know a couple times towards the end that she’d had about enough of being put in her car seat. But we had a great time, all in all. Highlight of the morning was visiting the Fall Festival at Cox’s Farm with our friends Greg, Jane, Claire & Emma.
For those who haven’t been, the Fall Festival is far more than just a pumpkin patch and hay ride – it combines lots of farm animals, an under-5 play area, several slides of all different shapes and sizes, pony rides, cider stands, cow-milking guitar-playing farmers, and of course the pumpkin patch and hay ride. We got there right when it opened at 10, didn’t leave until noon, and still could have spent a good hour or two more easily. Ella’s favorite was undoubtedly the big slide (note to Sara: you are DEFINITELY on roller coaster duty – she’s never gonna want to stop!!), but we had fun on just about everything. After a car nap for both of us, we had lunch and played for a while, then were off for more errands and another visit with the cat, frog and turtle. Ella was still a little unsure of the cat, but insisted we go in and visit the cat and pet her at least five times. Oscar’s got to be wondering who this little kid is who keeps coming in, touching her back and then taking off the other way. One day to go and then we get to see Sara…we’re having a great time, but can’t WAIT to see her!!!
